I attended the University of Notre Dame where I graduated with a bachelor's degree, and I went to the University of Connecticut for my master's. I have been teaching for 6 years, working in Japan teaching English, then I worked as a coordinator for a mentoring program for freshmen college students and an advisor. I am well aware of the need to achieve high scores on the standardized exams, and I am able to help students with preparations for their SAT, PSAT, and ACT tests. I enjoy working with any age student, and can teach a variety of subjects, including Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Elementary Math, Middle School Math, ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, GED, and Geography, as well as providing tips and help with study skills. My favorite subject to teach is English grammar. I like to use my enthusiasm to get students excited to learn, and I encourage questions and honesty. When I am not teaching, I like to hike, travel, and camp. I also enjoy college football. I look forward to having the opportunity to meet with you discuss your needs and goals, and how I might be able to facilitate them.
